Everyone shall have the right to healthy environment and the right to timely and full information about the state of environment. Everyone, especially the Republic of Serbia and autonomous provinces, shall be accountable for the protection of environment. Everyone shall be obliged to preserve and improve the environment. (Article 74)

LAW ON ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

This Law shall regulate the integral system of environmental protection which shall ensure human right to live and develop in healthy environment as well as balanced economy growth and protection of the environment in the Republic. (Article 1)

EU Integration

The Community acquis (Acquis Communautaire) is the accumulated legislation, legal acts, and court decisions which constitute the body of European Union law. The aquis is divided into 35 chapters, and negotiations on EU membership of the Republic of Serbia is the process during which Serbia, as well as other candidate member states, has to adapt to its legal, economic and social system, reforming national legislation in all of these segments, and the overall social system.
